Ready, Fire! Shoot! Tembak! Bang bang!

----- Bang Bang! I went to a shooting club in Port Melbourne last Saturday^^; Melbourne International Shooting Club(MISC) and had my first real shooting experience. The overall training or should i put, trying out, was only two and ahalf hours. I wished we had a longer one. Anyway, lets get to some pics:

This is the lobby area where we waited for the rest of the group to arrive, registered and hang out after and before shooting. It's quite lively and the building architecture is really really old. Looks like one from Lloyds' period, whatever the year is, i forgot the dates. There were seven of us in my group.

Our instrutor came in afterwards. We had our briefings in the lobby on how to handle the guns, the safety, the activities we are doing and some jokes of shooting one another. I noticed, we were the only young ones around. The rest of the members are retirees. Hmm.

This is our first shooting range for the air pistols. Target is 10m far and they are awfully small. Gosh, my eye sights~~ I could hardly see the target.

My air pistol set up. Unlike unmod airsoft guns tat shoots about 300fps, these pistols shoots about 10 times more. Best pest of the gun is that it was made by Styer! Oh, i love their rifles. Ah, can u see the tiny peice of paper? thats the target~

Shoot! That's my best five shots, which i concentrated on. Haha. the rest? well, u can say its so-so only. I didn't really like the air pistol's trigger as they goes off at 500g pressure. Way too light for me. It's like pressing nothing. The recoil was very weak too. Something like airsoft guns.

Now we're at a real pistol shooting range^^ targets are 25 feet far. and the targets are bigger. We had to wear mufflers and safety glasses, or our own specs.

S&W .22 caliber revolver! Ohh.. I felt like a cowboy.

We shot 15 shots. Hmm, not bad^^ stronger recoil and needed more pressure to pull the trigger. I finally felt the feeling of handling a real gun.

This is the real deal of the event. We were told that we are gonna be marked during this round. Winner gets a prize. Only 10 shots of .38s. Bullets were much bigger, gun were heavier, stronger recoil, and 1.5 kg of trigger pressure. Must concentrate this time.

Haha. I don't wanna boast, but i was obviously the winner. Nothing near a profesional's result, but for a first timer (cancel off my experience with airsof), i did quite good.

We tried the 9mm semi auto^^ The grip isn't as comfortable as the revolver's, and it jammed easily. I prefered the revolvers. But aesthetic-wise, 9mm looks cooler and stronger.

This is the 9mm semi auto. P18. Its loaded!

Posing time!! i supposed to pose as James Bond, but nvr worked out.

Finally, its the end. We went back to the lobby, took a rest and the instructor gave some ending speech. Thats the reward i got. haha. Just a keychain, but the experience matters. I did not learn much bout the guns tho. 2 and a half hours is way too short. But at least, i had manage to shoot with a real gun and enjoyed that very Bang! haha.

Cheers
